I bought this kit and was disappointed to see that it's basically a curbside kit with an engine, there are no lenses for the front or rear lights, even the interior has the seats molded in but I have to say that after painting and detailing this kit displays very nicely.

Nice job on your Chevy. I built one a while back, and the worst part of the kit for me (other than the flash, bad fit, & broken steering wheel) was the red plastic!

Lol, I agree except mine didn't have the broken steering wheel

Mine had one, so I requested a replacement from Round2, and that one was worse than the original.

That is a great looking old Chevy pick-em-up! I built one of these a long time ago for a friend. I have the new Coca-Cola repop. Like you said, it displays nicely.

Thanks John, I chose not to use the coke decals on the truck but the coke machine is pretty cool

Excellent build! Your work looks amazing. In spite of the shortcomings you mentioned (it just shows the age of the tooling), I still have at least two or three of these in my stash.

Thanks Jeff, yes, it does display nicely, the opening tailgate and tonneau were nice touches

Nice Chevy. I built 2 of these, one as a 4x4 and one as the oob coca cola. Not super detailed but as you model shows, beautiful when nicely done.

Thanks Mario, I am pretty sure I have another one, might have to try a 4x4

I'd rather have a good looking curbside with an engine than a full detailed kit with incorrect proportions and body lines. Your truck looks great!

Here is a SB I did years ago.. I like this kit TBH.

Thank you Andy. I am sure there are others with the same opinion as yours, but curbside models are definitely not my thing, I bought this one thinking it was full detail. Your truck looks great and to each their own it's all about enjoying the hobby.
