Yeah Nah Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 (edited) Did this one a while back. The red was actually brush painted using a Games Workshop acrylic with a rattle can clear over the top. Had some decals that came with the Lindberg 32 Hot Rod kit re-issued some time back so I could sort of replicate the old AMT box art. Edited September 5, 2023 by Yeah Nah 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Perfect paint color. Fun to see this! 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Back end is nice and low. Perfect! Did the kit come like that? 1
TarheelRick Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Very nice little rod. Really like that paint, especially since you did it with a brush. I have trouble getting my paint cans that smooth. Beautiful build. 1
espo Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Beautiful looking box art build. The added engine detailing with the wheels and tires looks great. 1

Yes, the old AMT kit is FAR from perfect, but it pretty much builds out-of-the-box like that if you leave the fenders off.

Rattlecan Dan Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Very Cool! Great looking hot rod. Very nice work. 1
Bainford Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Cool old coupe. I dig the raft of carburetors. Nicely done. 1
Zippi Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Sweet looking little Hot Rod. That brush painted red looks nice. 1
bobss396 Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 I did one recently, pretty much the same as yours. It takes a real man to chop up a 60 year old kit. I have to shoot some pix of it soon. 1

Kenmojr Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Brilliant brush work. Looks like spray. The coupe is a fine example of an American traditional style hot rod. 1
