A friend sent me this image he’d discovered. I was thinking P51-D body and maybe deuce rails?

Yup. P-51 bubbletop...but the top of the bubble is broken.

Look at the shapes of the windshield elements, the line of rivets under them, and the lower frame of the bubbletop.

But the rails are later than '32. They lack the stamped "reveal" detail of the one-year-only deuce rails, and they appear to be longer.

With the non-32 X-member clearly visible, the length, the front crossmember location, and the appearance of the forward ends of the rails, I'd say they're '41-'48 Ford.

They just got mixed up, its supposed to aircraft engine with a car body. Like we did before ww2 in britain

The Brooklands Outer circuit speed record holder is an aircraft engined car, the polished aluminium bodied Napier Railton. The car was powered by a Napier Lion W12 engine. The car can currently be seen at the Brooklands Transport Museum.

A photo of my scratch built model is in the 'Let's see some scratch built things' thread for anyone to see what the car looks like. Also plenty of pictures of the real car available to see on line.
