Yeah Nah Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) Did a few things- partially filled those horrible hinge gaps on the firewall and replaced wheels but otherwise OOB including decals. Edited September 29, 2023 by Yeah Nah 4
Nacho Z Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 The original version of this kit was one of my first model purchases with my own money and completely built by myself. I still have the kit although a little worse for wear. I don’t think I have ever seen this car finished in this color and I think it is great! I think it works very well. I love what you have done with this kit, great job! 1
Zippi Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 On yeah. One Bad looking 54 Chevy Gasser. The color along with the white decals look Great. Nice build. 1
bobss396 Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 How was the glass fit? I got one kit, looked at it and put it back in the box. I would have had to re-make the rear window opening from scratch, I don't recall how bad the windshield fit was. I built one as a kid, also the gasser style. 1
Horrorshow Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Nice gasser. Looks like a nice kit to build 1
Hoffman Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Very nice!! The wheels and tires made a huge improvement. Great color choice. Nice details under hood. Keep up the great work! ? 1
TonyK Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 The real car always looked like a beast to me. You did a great job with this as a gasser. Good looking colors you chose and overall look is just right. 1
Dave Armstrong Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Nice looking build! What was the paint brand and color? 1
M W Elky Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Great looking gasser I really like the color you used, and your wheel and tire combo really make it. 1

The rear I carefully trimmed to fit with it glued (clear PVA) to the edges. Front went in from the inside as normal. Neither are 100% with small gaps that can be seen but not too obvious. 1

Paint is my usual home brew of craft acrylics thinned for airbrush with Windex (blue window cleaner) with floor polish clear over the top.

He even sent me a 2nd kit that was as bad as the first, I still have them un-built. I will be taking them to an upcoming show where I will be a vendor.

It's one of those kits that you're glad you managed to finish but wouldn't try building a second one. 1
