Roger, you nailed the stance! Good luck on the move, looking forward to welcoming you to the hot South. It’s been so hot and dry here for the last month. All my grass is turning brown.

I feel your pain. It's no cooler or greener in Tn. either.

Not surprised you went back and re-did it Roger.  Looks great!  Sometimes you just have to make it work, even if it's not 100% accurate.  It will make the finished model look even that much better.  I'm with you on wanting to get painting.  My current project is a ways from painting and I'm impatient.

Glad to hear you put the house back up, even though moving is a pain!

Thanks Rich, same here in Indiana, my yard looks like August. I still think it feels hotter and more humid in the Midwest than in the south.

Thanks Edgar, it’s not quite an 1/8 inch difference but it’s a lot in 1/25 scale.

I’ve learned a lot on this one! As with most of my builds they start out seeming much easier and simpler in the beginning. I think I’m past the big hurdles now.
Terry, I’ll have a place for you to stay when you come to the ACME show in October.

I thought I had the stance on my McCandless car down  ........ I shoulda had the engine complete and used it during mock up instead of just the block/engine mounts  ,,,yours is what I was shooting for, even with me cobbling up a rack and pinion deal and coil overs, using the Pro Street Nova worked out for me pretty good,,I just didn't take it far enough ,yours looks great!

Just a quick update, First, Thank you Scott.

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I last posted, since then I’ve sold my house in Indiana , bought a house in Oxford Georgia,we packed up and moved last Friday. We’re still unpacking boxes and I’m still looking for the lights for my workbench. I’m hoping to get my BTK finished in time for the ACME show in late October. I still need to find a job. Here’s a shot of my model room so far.

Glad to see you back. Welcome to the South. Good luck on the job search , Roger. We are looking forward to see you back at the bench. Nice model room! I’m jealous.

Thanks Rich, like most of us, I’ve modeled in a lot of different circumstances. It’s just me and my wife now, but we purchased a 4 bedroom home so I could have a room to work in.

Won't you miss the Indiana winters ??? !!! lol  looks like you got a good size room to set up shop!

If Ga. Humidity at 90* is anything like Tn. humidity at 90*, I bet he will be missing that winter up north pretty quick like. He may be in for a shock. lol

DW, I’ve lived here before and I promise humidity in the Midwest is so much worse than here in Georgia.

Thanks Terry, I’m really gonna miss that show, it’s a good one. Keep me posted on how you do. The offer is still open for ACME.

Understood. I also found that the elevation at Chattanooga always made it feel colder or hotter than it does at lower elevations like where I am near Nashville now.

I finally got some bench time. After several tries I finally have the traction bar mount made, I sectioned the fuel tank from the Johan Maverick.
