Well this is why, I managed to get ahold of the 1969 Nova SS that was on the cover. Can’t imagine what the original exterior color would be to match the custom pleather quilted interior. Even the dash was custom made. LOL! I think the interior is my favourite part, as far as I know the interior was done at the same time as the red,yellow paint job so I guess that’s what matched in the 70s? I wonder this all the time. I see old magazines and wonder what became of the cars and trucks featured. Movie and TV cars too. And so many times, it's like they've just been discarded. That's awesome that you were able to put the deal together! And it's crazy to think that a magazine feature car came from Bluesky, Alberta. I've been to Bluesky. Maybe 100 people live there? Yeah it’s just a tiny little place outside of Fairview and a few hours away from where I got the car, I’ve been asking the local car guys that I know and a few of them have known the car since the 80s so I should be able to put together a pretty good story of the car. I’ve also done some research and it turns out it is 1 of 1091 69 2door v8 Canadian built Pontiac Acadians (6353) total built in 69 that was re badge as a nova and I think it might be a factor SS but I have to do some more digging to find out. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tbill Posted December 2, 2023 Share Posted December 2, 2023 Doesn’t GM/Chevrolet of Canada offer a service similar to the Pontiac historical society where you can provide a VIN number and you get a report on it?
