JJ Deuce Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) Had to clean up the hobby desk over the holiday as we had guests (it's in our guestroom). So before I dug back into the Cobra racing team set, I decided to have a little fun and practice some techniques with one of my $13 scores from Ollie's. I opted to use the curbside parts for this one to keep it simple. I scribed the doors and trunklid, and added a black wash before I primed, tried the embossing powder for carpet, and foiled some of the emblems/scripts before applying Testors Inca Gold lacquer. The interior is Tamiya dark yellow, with gold embossing powder. I could have used another coat of paint, but I like the overall result of the foil, and learning things for the next build. Kah puts Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 What a great colour for this elegant body and the interior choice is stunning ? 1
JJ Deuce Posted December 22, 2023 Author Posted December 22, 2023 Trying to get this beast done before the end of the year. Got the wheels dechromed and painted. Still need to foil the side trim and I finally got the bumpers stripped so I can clean them up before spraying with Revell Chrom. 3
