1930 Ford Model A Coupe by Revell

All done and ready for the New Year. Here is my completed Revell 1930 Ford Model A Coupe. This was a fantastic kit, and a joy to assemble. I went with Tamiya TS-77 Flat Flesh for the exterior. I sprayed a mix of craft and Tamiya paints for the other kit parts. It is built mostly box stock with the addition of gofer racing spark plug wires, scratch built oil dip stick, and ignition. The exhaust in the kit did come with a split off the header which I removed to have the open header look. I drilled out holes in the visor in alternating sizes as well. Carpeting was added to the interior using embossing powder and black paint as adhesion. The rest of the kit is out of the box and built as the Highboy version.

This kit went together with zero fitment issues and I highly recommend those who have the opportunity to build one, to do so. Some great spare parts also since it can be built two ways.

I also learned after doing some research that this kit, came with a Buick Nailhead V8 and that my spark plug wire location and dip stick location was totally wrong. Luckily, it doesn’t actually have to drive anywhere… Live and learn!

Thanks for checking this out, and on to the next!
