catpack68 Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 (edited) I just finished this up after starting it almost 3 years ago?.Its the Hasegawa VW 23 window Micro Bus kit.The colors are Tamiya Matt Black on top and Tamiya Black on the bottom. The clear is Duplicolor 1K.I lowered it. The bumpers are from the Revell VW Samba bus kit. The wheels/ tires are Empi 3D scale parts items. The roof racks are Mac Modelisme 3D printed items painted with Revell chrome spray and I did the woodgrain stain on them. The cooler is 3D printed by Detail Junkies/Shadowcraft customs. The Surfboards are two short boards from the AMT 65 Chevelle wagon kit.The various decals are from a Detail Junkies vintage VW set and the Decal Lady made the rest including the 1963 South Carolina plate with my wife’s name on it.I used a Detail Junkies VW bus photo etched Empi detail set on it.The 3D printed muffler is from the VW Dub model shop. The flip up front windows are from Highlight Model studio as are the interior panels. The steering wheel is from Revell 29 Ford roadster kit.The resin subwoofers and amplifier are Lex’s scale resin items.(Edit) I just realized the EMPI sticker on the back window is upside down ? I replaced it with another one that is right side up.I built this one for my wife and it’s headed to her desk at work. Thanks for looking. Edited January 19, 2024 by catpack68 4

redscampi Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 This is great! I was toying with the idea of ordering one of these from HLJ. Now I have to! 1
Jonathan Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 That's so cool! Do you have links to the various aftermarket suppliers you used? I've heard of Detail Junkies, but not the others. 1
