nickfzr61
My daughter gave me this kit for Christmas. It’s a 2in 1 but I’m going to combine aspects of both versions. Going to do a stock 426 Hemi car with the dog dish hubcaps. Starting with the engine. Oh yeah. Going black with red bumblebee stripes.

nickfzr61
Thanks guys. Motor pretty much done. Just have to figure out what I’m going to do for an air filter.
Bainford
Nice. I think a street Hemi looks much better with the black valve covers.

nickfzr61
Working on the interior. Still have to do the dashboard then assemble everything. Edited January 19 by nickfzr61
nickfzr61
A few more with the dashboard completed. Not as clean looking as I’d like but I think it’ll do.
nickfzr61
And a few mocking up the interior and chassis in the body. I’m trying to figure out the best way to assemble it. The instructions say to attach the firewall to the interior tub but I think I’m going to glue the firewall to the body so it will blend into the body better when I spray the body like the real car. bill-e-boy
Your build id coming along nicely. I like your use of wire for the dash insert chrome strip

It’s a little too intricate for me to attempt with BMF and paint wouldn’t of came out straight enough. Also used it for the door panels. The straight trim pieces, around the handles, and on the sides of the console. Edited January 21 by nickfzr61

nickfzr61
Been busy with work so this slowed down a little but I got the rear end done with brake lines. Hope to get started on painting the body this weekend. Edited January 24 by nickfzr61

nickfzr61
Was hoping to get some color on the body but I ran into a little snag. I’m decanting the Tamiya rattle can paint and airbrushing it on but I didn’t have the right nozzle size or laquer thinner. Until everything gets delivered parts are pretty much ready for assembly.

nickfzr61
Painted the body and applied the decals. Ready for clear coat and the wait for it to cure before wet sanding, polishing. and doing the mouldings.
Simo5555
Love the red stripe. Looks really good Im building the same model - got a lot of inspiration from your build. How did you paint the wood on the center console?
