junkyardjeff Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 It's done and I wish the engine I installed had come with the kit originally,it's from the Monogram 53 hardtop and the split exhaust manifold is from a 53 or 54 Corvette Monogram must have made. 3
TarheelRick Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Very nice looking street cruiser. Should be able to get the groceries in a hurry with those three deuces. Like that paint also.
larman Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 That's a great engine choice for this. A lot better than the BBC with tunnel ram that comes with it. I always thought that set up was a bit excessive for what was in the rest of the kit.
Zippi Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 That's one Hot 39 Chevy SD. Great looking little straight 6 in the business end.
junkyardjeff Posted February 25, 2024 Author Posted February 25, 2024 I wish now that I would have made some inner fenders but will do that if I build the coupe version.
espo Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Great looking restoration. Up until now I have always considered this molded color as ugly, but seeing it done in this manor I like it and think it looks feasible in real life. Like seeing the six getting some well-deserved attention here.
carrucha Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Neat build. Cool that you used the straight six.
junkyardjeff Posted February 25, 2024 Author Posted February 25, 2024 Found a started coupe but that one will have a stock six.
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 That's awesome! I love sedan deliveries, and that color is great.
