junkyardjeff Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 Built it like I think Monogram should have at least made it optional, this one has the engine from the 53 hard top kit with the powerglide sawed off and the trans from the AMT 37 put on. I had a extra hood from the sedan delivery so I still have to find a hood ornament. 10
Kenmojr Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 Love these old Stovebolt Chevys.... Great build...
Andy Oldenburg Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Well done build Jeff! The color matches very good to the era and this body type. Sorry for the missing hood ornament. Have you ever thought of making one yourself? How about taking sheet or rod styrene and carefully filing it into shape. It is a bit laborious, but not much can go wrong and the finished result would enhance your hood.
happy grumpy Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Great. I agree, monogram should have offer this kit in stock form. Wouldn't have been difficult since they had most of the parts from other kits already. I did the same with the delivery. Very well done. That grey looks very nice on it.
junkyardjeff Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 I done the same with the sedan delivery last month but the engine got three carbs.
stavanzer Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 Nice Build, Jeff! The Colour is great. Good Show.
carrucha Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Good work. Nice to see a factory stock build of this kit.
customline Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 Very cool, Jeff. You have created a "phantom" in the 1:24 universe. You might try the hood ornament from the '51 kit.
