NYLIBUD
I’m only posting this because my brother is a bridge worker here in NY..Six construction workers are presumed dead following the collapse of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge early Tuesday after an out of control container ship hit the bridge, causing a large section of the bridge to come down, taking the workers with it..Thoughts and prayers go out to the construction workers who are presumed dead.Officials said around 7:30 p.m,Tuesday, nearly 18 hours after the bridge collapsed, that the six people are still unaccounted for.The NTSB say that a search and rescue mission is now a recovery mission.RIP.😞🙏 1
A modeler named mike
Very sad..😢 Thankfully this was not during rush hour or the totals would be severely inflated. I've traveled that bridge many times, its approximately 30 to 40 minutes away and have never given it a thought while crossing any bridges, what if... 🙏
Dave Ambrose
I agree this is very sad. I've crossed under a lot of bridges on a sailboat, and they always seem so spindly from underneath. I'd find myself a little anxious until we cleared the bridge.
Rob Hall
I think I drove over that bridge in 1997 when I was in Baltimore for a conference.... I remember also taking a dinner cruise as part of the conference and going out in the harbor and under bridges. Only time I've ever been to Baltimore. bobss396
My girlfriends's daughter went over that bridge about 7PM that Sunday night, she was visiting friends in Baltimore. She was shaken up a bit.
oldnslow
Just read that the shipping company owner and management companies are trying to limit their liability to around $90,000,000 . The losses are in the billions to the families that lost members , the state commerce and the physical structure damage . I this is standard procedure for Maritime law but , looks like wishful thinking in reality .
slusher
When I saw it on television I was worried about loss of life. Some of the Bruges in Chicago are still standing when I was a kid. Who knows how old they are.
