bluestringer Posted April 3 Share Posted April 3 This is the Hot Wheels kit I picked up at Ollie's. Looks to be a really nice little kit. Building OOB. I like the color on the box art, so mine will be a green. I've got a little bottle of Testor's Green Metallic enamel that should look good on it. I had starting work on the engine while I was finishing up the Roadkill 56, so it's almost ready. I applied a little Tamiya Smoke after I took the pictures. It toned down the chrome a little. I need to redo the photos. bluestringer Posted April 10 Author Share Posted April 10 Got the chassis done and rolling. Interior is done and mounted in the body, just need to get it all together and get the small bits on. The instructions call for putting the interior panels and fender panels together with the interior as a unit. I found this a little difficult, so instead I added both the interior panels and fender panels after installing the interior, much easier. Also there are 10 locating pins on the firewall, interior floor, and fender panels with holes in the frame to match up with. I found I could not get all of them to fit at the same time. I cut off all the pins except the 2 on the firewall, and it fit much better. A couple more days and I should wrap this one up.
