This is the Hot Wheels kit I picked up at Ollie's. Looks to be a really nice little kit. Building OOB. I like the color on the box art, so mine will be a green. I've got a little bottle of Testor's Green Metallic enamel that should look good on it. I had starting work on the engine while I was finishing up the Roadkill 56, so it's almost ready. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.

I'm going to keep my eye on "Ollie's for this one. How's the flash?  What engine is that?  Is the plated stuff good?

Very little flash. The engine is the Ford Cobra 4.6L DOHC. Plated stuff looks really good.

Oooooo I like it a lot. Full stop. Nice rims, what is their identity and where did they originate from?

Thanks Jim. They are the kit wheels.

Thanks. I applied a little Tamiya Smoke after I took the pictures. It toned down the chrome a little. I need to redo the photos.

Got the chassis done and rolling. Interior is done and mounted in the body, just need to get it all together and get the small bits on. The instructions call for putting the interior panels and fender panels together with the interior as a unit. I found this a little difficult, so instead I added both the interior panels and fender panels after installing the interior, much easier. Also there are 10 locating pins on the firewall, interior floor, and fender panels with holes in the frame to match up with. I found I could not get all of them to fit at the same time. I cut off all the pins except the 2 on the firewall, and it fit much better. A couple more days and I should wrap this one up. I had forgot about the top and just got it painted today.

I am impressed with the kit that I see here and the great job you are doing with it, James.  Very nice work on everything.

I would like to get this kit just for the modern chassis that could be adapted for a number of different bodies.

Thanks Jim. It is a nice little kit. I like the modern front suspension, it was a little finicky to get together but looks really good. I'll pick up another one next time I'm at Ollie's, if they still have them.

Yup. Gotta get out there soon. Ollie's is a good source for bash kits at the very least. I just spent 28 bucks for a '63 Galaxie kit from Hobbylinc and it will probably show up at Ollie's next month for 16 bucks. I have three stores near me and I need to make use of them more often. Congrats on the completion,  James, well done for sure!

P.S. leave the roof off 😉.
