leafsprings Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 (edited) The MPC long step '72 upgraded to C 20 3/4 ton. Used period dark bronze metallic color with tu tone white roof. Replaced rear fenders with AMT GMC stepside fenders, which, IMO, look more accurate. Edited May 19, 2024 by leafsprings 12
Street Rod Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Looks just like farm trucks you’d see around town in the ‘70’s, very period correct. Great job on this one! 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 That looks amazing! A very accurate period correct build. I really love the interior, it's hard to get that to look decent, with its shallow detail. 1
TarheelRick Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Very nice looking C-20, your color choice fits it very well. Where did you source the stepside bed? 1
ewetwo Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Really nice. I like the look of the step side better. 1
espo Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Great looking pickup and like the unusual long bed Step-side. 1

Where did you source the stepside bed? The bed was from the mpc kit, minus the fenders. As Doyle mention, the build has the "farm" or "ranch" look, not the custom "street" look that was so often used on box art. Edited June 2, 2024 by leafsprings
bobss396 Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 Quite accurate. My brother had one around 1985. It was parked in front of his apartment and a drunk ran into it in the wee hours.... 1
leafsprings Posted May 27, 2024 Author Posted May 27, 2024 Thanks for all the positive comments, here is the inspiration photo.
bill lanfear Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Nice work Tom! Once again you captured the realistic stock look! Well done! 1
