I got one of these from Ollies and really didn't want or need it, but it's a cheap model, so you know you HAVE TO BUY IT. I liked that it was a T style body but it looks a little too cartoonish to me so I figured a C cab would look better. I couldn't leave the engine alone either so I went for an old Model A Ford instead because, well why not. Here's what I got mocked up so far.

Thanks guys for the comments. I did manage to get some of the engine done. I can't put the plug wires on the plugs until it's all together because they go over the handlebars. I built a radiator for it and boxed in the back just big enough to fit a couple cases of Coke. I've had a tough time stripping the chrome, usually my oven cleaner does it quick but lately I haven't had much luck with it. It doesn't seem to work on the newer kits, anyone got a better idea please let me know.

This is so cool. I just got the same kit for the same reason. CHEAP. Just had not even thought what I'd do with it. Thanks for causing me to think way outside the box.

Looking good!

I always use bleach to strip chrome, I can't recall it failing to work. I've just done some parts of an old AMT kit and it took seconds.

This is my back up in case the oven cleaner doesn't do the trick.

Progress on this build continues to look good Mark.

Nice 'off the wall project' converting this kit to a C cab. Should look great when finished.

The original cab body is reminiscent of the old Eldon Milk Truck kit I built years ago. Even the 'Milk' decal is similar in style to the Eldon kit decal.

Great idea to covert to "C" cab. Front windshield pillars maybe a bit "heavy", but overall an awesome looking build.

Thanks Lou. I know what you mean about those Windshield posts, I wish I had thinned them out everytime I look at it. Well, too late now.

Thanks Noel, I noticed those similarities too.

Some good progress goin on here Mark. Good color choice too.

Thanks Joe, I'm sure I'll get some people booing me over the next pics with the decals, but it will be cool when it's ALL finished.

I know it's not for everyone but I figured I'd use some of this Coca Cola stuff. This part of it is getting closer to being done. It will get a surprise trailer for it next. Can you guess what it will be hauling?

Still lookin' good from my angle Mark and the Coke cases in the back are a good touch.

Thanks Joe. I think it's all going to come together with the Jack Daniels trailer I plan on building.

Well, the trike is just about done. I wanted to do more wiring & plumbing but my eyes and hands said NOT HAPPENING! Now it's time for the trailer. I started with an old 60s built utility trailer from my parts box and made a better looking tongue for it. Next is figuring out the sides. Here's a pic of the decals for it too.
