Alfa Romeo GTV Bathurst 1967
ozmodeler replied to ShawnS's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Great job on the replica. I think the sister car was driven by Kevin Bartlet to a respectable result, from my memory. -
Well mate, I've built this kit a couple of times over the years and it's always a challenge. But I know you have the skills to turn out a great result. I agree that the rumble seat is best glued shut , glue and fill the top as you go. Remember to dig into your bag of patience !

AMT Ford 1928 delivery.

great work ! -
Wow, you've covered many releases of this kit, with the collection of parts. Looks like the first or early release with the Maroon body and fenders, ZZtop trunk lid and gas tank cover, "early iron" rumble seat. The chopped top has me stumped as i don't recognize the color ? ( Beach boys version ?) I'm looking forward to seeing this one come together.

looking good Brock.

You have nailed that "barn fresh " look. Great concept.

Beautiful work on that Willys street rod David. you got that front clip lining up really well, which is difficult on the AMT kit.
-
That's a very nice replica of that poor '59 Bel-air from the movie. Well done.

Wow Marc, I just love those 60's era mild customs. You've nailed that look and the white(abalone ?) pearl and roof fade away ,just outstanding. Well done mate.

Great looking build Stan. And the comparison with the "new" bug. I still like the older ones better.

I love the fat wires and the stance. Very cool. -
Yes Sonny, this is the later tool from Revell. In the same family of tooling as the 3window, Tudor and highboy roadster.

Great work Al. I love how you are rescuing some of these models from our past. Model car archaeology ? Anyhow keep up the great work mate. -
Thank you guys, for all the nice comments.

I really like this kit, heaps of options, very nice molding .This build was out of the box except for plug wires. I lowered the rear, made some basic hinges for the trunk and shot it with Tamiya mica blue from the can with clear on top and a polish. I'm happy with the result, I'd love the 1:1 version in my garage !
