acarcollector Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Just started building models again after doing them as a kid and early adulthood. Prior to this the last one I completed was in 1988. I had a surgery this past March, unable to be active as I usually am, and got out all my old paints, brushes, etc. I have built 5 since and am now hooked again! I am was surprised at all the new items available online for these kits...the chrome paint markers are very cool and fuzzi-fur is pretty awesome too. I have enjoyed looking all the amazing builds in this forum and they have given me inspiration to improve mine. Attached are a few shots of the Revell 1970 Trans Am I just completed. Happy to be part of this group! Thanks! 1

vamach1 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Welcome. I used to live in Northern VA and go to the Maryland Automotive Modelers Association meeting every month on the third Saturday. Check out www.mamasboyz.org for their meeting location. The website has all the newsletters published since the late 1980s. ?
acarcollector Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 Thanks for all the welcoming comments! Much appreciated. @ Rex...I discovered the MAMA club about a week after their annual get together in Havre de Grace, MD. this past May....it was only about 15 miles from my house. Still kicking myself over missing out on that. I will make it a point to attend one of their monthly meetings soon, thanks for the heads up. Bill
