Am going to attempt to build a "Tribute Car" built by Charlie Lima. To pay homage to a modified great Steady Eddie Flemke. The 2X. (Think it's going to take a while). Hope you will like it. Thanks for looking in.

Thanks. The wheels are from Ron Coon Resins. (Great variety and selections). I will replace the kit Goodyears with some Plastic Performance Parts Hoosiers at completion.

I thought they might be a Ron Coon product. I like his #1 and #19 steamroller tires. I think I use his #32 and #34 wheels, hubs are the #6, 7, 18, 19 for the most part. I like the 3/8" deep wheels.

I'm doing a '36 coupe now, ran into new-and-improved issues... BACK IN THE BOX. This is becoming my 2024 mantra.... I even have my girlfriend saying it, applies to anything that does not go to plan.

Dan.......what do you do to make the "turnouts" on the exhaust pipes AFTER the collectors? I've used aluminum tube, but that limits me to slash cut or a straight pipe. I've tried plastic tube, but always end up with a collapsed pipe on the inside of the bend.

Chas, I wave a bic lighter under the straight tube styrene, and it will droop and bend itself. (Sometimes it needs some delicate encouragement). Might take a few tries. Then cut and sand at the bend. Hope that helps.

Donato, that is a huge tip about the bic lighter, but I fear that I would just set some styrene on fire. I've used a candle before and had not too good results. Your bends look perfect. Okay if that is a rattlecan paint job, kudos to you. That paint is so smooth you have no reason to polish at all or even add clear unless you have already done that. Can't wait to see this one finished.

My last 2 modifieds, I went with the Extreme Lacquer line of paint, used the clear too. IMO, the best lacquer combination around. The clear was so good, in both cases, no polishing.
