Just read where Shapeways has shut down and filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Well, at the end of quoted statement by the plant manager....they are gearing up for a restart on their own account....no further details were listed.

Hopefully that happens and we can share any updates!!

I just received my last big order from them on 6/28. It came from Livonia and since I live in Troy, MI, normal delivery was always next day.  I'll miss them and hope those who sold their products via Shapeways will find other outlets.

Went to the Shapeways site just to see what's going on. Took forever to load any page. Looked at some figures and each page took minutes to load.

I tried a few minutes ago and the loading speed seems to be normal again.

Shapeways had listed a set of corrected wheels and tyres for the Heller Bugatti T50 kit.

Anyone know who the originator of the 3D Cad files is? 

I guess that Shapeways worked as an intermediary producer from other people's designs to sell on their behalf?
