Thanks Carl.

Worked on the spoiler and hood scoops plus the wheels. Looks like the weather may let me get some painting done.

The weather has been holding out for me to paint and I’m buffing out the clear coat. I’m not sure now if I want to add the hood stripes or not. Should I go with the stripe delete or add them? Let me know what I should do. Thanks.

Thanks Len,

I tried painting the stripes on but they didn’t work for me so I’m going with decals and paint to make them correct.

That's a great looking mash-up! A Demon-Dart?

The best of both worlds.

Thanks David actually it’s a Demon-Duster.

I’ve BMF and started applying some of the decals plus test fitting some of the hoses in the engine bay. I should have this one done in a couple days.

Looking good, Dan! I dullcoted my decals for the hood before I applied them. Watch out for those hood darts as they can make the decal application a bit tricky! ??

Looks really good and the dullcoat really helps.  I used Fred Cady decals on my hood as the shape of the Revell are not quite correct.  The bad news on the Cady decals for the hood that they were very brittle and as John says above watch out for the hood darts!!

Thanks John, I’ve already have my decals coated with the dull coat and have my bottle of Micro-Sol ready to go.

Thanks Dave, I’ve corrected the stripes on the section between the windshield and hood I’m hoping my flat black paint will match up with the decals.

Your engine details look good.

Thanks Robert, by using the Duster engine bay I was able to add the details.

Today I finished buffing the white paint and added the stripes on the hood and the hood darts were a pain to work with. I’m still going to use the side strips they will be next and then the little loose ends. The chassis is just test fitted I will glue it up after the body is on it. I appreciate everyone’s comments!

Great work on the chassis, nice metal finish on the exhaust.

Good call on the stripes, they look great!

David G.

Thanks David, I used Uschi metal polishing powder steel on the pipes and chrome on the mufflers with a semi gloss black base.
