thatz4u Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) I'm going to start an AMT 1960 F-100, is what I think is Plowboy's style...my version of it anyhow. If you are interested you're welcome to join in, no ending date. Just build something in his style or make a clone one of his...he was as a resto mod type builder. For inspiration, use search tab in upper Right of homepage, look for members/Plowboy/ content/profile/21673-plowboy/ Edited September 3, 2024 by thatz4u 3
Cool Hand Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) Still miss not seeing Plowboy on here. Always liked his style of builds and really enjoyed his wip topics. I have had the very same idea of doing a tribute build in memory of Roger. I have acquired the kits to try build a 67 Mustang Coupe like he was building. It was the last topic I remember interacting with him and it was a build I wished he could have completed as I liked it very much. So I would be happy to participate in this tribute topic for sure. I have a lot of other things going on but in time I will make the effort to build that Mustang for Roger. Edited August 27, 2024 by Cool Hand 2

Chuck Most Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Might be able to make something happen with a '63 F100.
thatz4u Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 keep them going, looking good so far..
Chuck Most Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Here's about how the '63 will look from the outside. Rollers are still up in the air, but I should be getting the Jay's Resin Wheels Advent Calendar tomorrow. Maybe one of those wheel/tire sets will end up on it.

Chuck Most Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 I hate dry transfers but they made this possible at least....

Chuck Most Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 It's more 1995 Mustang Cobra than '63 F100 under the hood now.
Chuck Most Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Once again, it's more Cobra than F100 under the hood (1997 this time). 1

Hi Al, this is awesome. You captured Roger’s style well. He was my favourite builder on the forum, loved his builds. He was very knowledgeable, and always happy to share his techniques. I miss him on here…. I have had several tribute builds rattling around in my head since he passed. I will be tackling one next year, and will share it here. Thanks for starting this thread. I never met Roger in person, but have no doubt he and I would have got along well.
Steve H Posted March 1 Posted March 1 A big thanks to Al for starting this thread. Roger was an amazing talent, and he is missed here by many. I learned a lot from him, and was always inspired to up my game watching his builds. Thought I would share my “in progress” build here, although I’m sure some of you will have seen it in the truck section. This is abbreviated, more photos and such in the other thread. 1960 Ford PU with some modifications. Converted to “unibody” short box, slightly pancaked hood, bumpers “tucked in”, lowered, blacked out trim, opened grill, Mustang super stallion engine. The interior has bucket seats, console, nav screen, and more mods to come. Aiming for the vibe of Roger’s 49 Merc build….👇 Thanks again to Al for starting this thread, and to Chuck as well. Love the builds you guys did to honour Plowboy. 3 1
Steve H Posted March 16 Posted March 16 More progress, Interior is complete, and body has been painted. I modified some custom decals to create the logos for this build. 2 1
