Tom99 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 I finally got a chance to build the reissue 1971 Dodge Demon. This reissue is much better than the original issue, as I do have an unbuilt kit in my collection. This kit was easy, as everything fit, and the decals were some of the easiest I ever worked with. I painted it Dodge Bright Blue (B5), from Scalefinishes, and using many online pictures for reference. 9
Nicholas Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 (edited) very nice! it looks great, love the color! interesting on how it compares to the origonal kit,i always find mpc chassis/eng bay lacking in detail including the rear differential,..not sure what they were thinking on that, looks like it came out of a model a Edited September 13, 2024 by Nicholas
ncbuckeye67 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Great looking build. That blue looks amazing!
XYHARRY Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 I'm still waiting for my local hobby shop to get one of these on their shelves. Yours looks really nice in that gorgeous shade of blue. Really well done Tom. Cheers, David. ??
STU111 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Very tidy build. The B5 blue always looks good and those Mopar rally wheels are nicely detailed. ??
espo Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Great looking paint color and finish the stripes are also well done. Clean trim and the interior and chassis are nice and clean looking.
mrm Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Not a fan of the 1:1 car, but there's no denying this is a beautiful color.
kymdlr Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Interesting to see how this kit compares to the AMT Duster. Duster was way more detailed as a factory kit. The wheels look larger than most of the kit supplied rallye wheels ive seen, is that true or just in the photos?
