Modelmartin Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Renaults don't sell here but are big sellers in the rest of the world. To me the biggest waste of tool steel and styrene are the non-replica showrods. Daniel's stuff I can see but Jolly Rodger? L'il Stogie? WTF!!!
roadhawg Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Funny how the worst of cars could have appeared in 1/24. Things like the Renault Megane from Fujimi was a nightmare. What about you guys? The Chevy Citation comes to mind...................
nitrojunkie Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I know some resin kit or conversions exist, but... a plastic Porsche 550 RS kit a plastic Bentely Speed 8 a plastic Peugeot 908 a Pangini Zonda I'll second this request the top 2 especially.I'd love a 550 RS and The Speed 8 and I'll add a Plastic Aston Martin Vanquish in race trim.

FujimiLover Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 When on earth will anyone do this! Resin, plastic - I don't care! I want it! I want it! I want it! I want it! I want it! For those unfortunate enough to not know this car yet, it is a 36-38 Bugatti T57SC Atlantic coupe. Only 3 of this body were built and only about 75 of the chassis were made. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't one of these in 1/43 scale. 1/43 is the scale that hasn't missed anything as far as I know!
Chuck Most Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) I would like to see a new or newer ( '04-'08 ) F-150 or F-250 Super Duty ( with the Power Stroke )or the newer Dodge ( with the Cummins engine ). I know the Super Duty would sell as well as the Dodge. Pickups haven't been covered since '98-'99 by kit manufacturors. YesyesyesohsweetGAWDyes! I've yearned for a scale model kit of the '99-up Super Duty since it was launched!!!! I'd like a choice between the Triton V10 or the Power Stroke with either an auto or a 6-speed. Maisto made a die-cast kit, which I have, but I'd love a full detail styrene version! I'd be happy with just a parts-pack Power Stroke engine. We've got at least three Escalade kits... methinks it's about time for a Navigator or Mark LT kit (the latter of which could share 95% or more of it's tooling with any F-150 "Super Crew" kit that would theoretically sell well.) Also, I'd like to see a couple more hearse kits- something- anything! Don't care if it's 1930's or 1990's. And I may be alone on these next two- but I'm suprised no kit was ever made of the '99-02 Mercury Cougar, I think it would be the base to a nice tuner build. The other is the '93-'98 Lincoln MKVIII. Yeah, not the most common car on the road, but it did have a look all it's own, and it was the last "traditional luxury" American V8/RWD 2-door. How's 'bout these- am I the only guy who wants to build a scale Bugatti Veyron? Or Aston Martin Vanquish? Or any TVR model you could possibly think of? I'd even be happy with a Jensen Interceptor. I'd like to see some "mainstream" foreign-car kits too. I'd love to build a 1/24 early '60's Opel Cadett (like Oliver of Top Gear fame), or a VW Eurovan, hey... I could even think of a use or two for a Mercedes/Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter! Those are just the ones I think others besides me would also buy and build. Don't even get me started on the more "offbeat" stuff!!!! Edited April 18, 2009 by Chuck Most
Brian Fishburn Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Hmm... 67-72 Ford Pickup, preferrably a longbed, and preferrably with different options for grilles, allowing one to build different years/trim levels. Any or all (preferrably ALL) of the GM Collonade Body cars. If I have to pick just one, I'm going with the '73 GTO 56/57 Lincoln Premier
FujimiLover Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) 98 Lotus Elise and/or Exige would be nice to have in 1/24 scale plastic model kit form. My Dad has two 97 Lotus Elise car's for a project he's working on and I'd love to be able to build a model of one for him. At least he has theme in 1/18 and 1/43 scale. I'm very suprised I have not seen the Elise/Exige in 1/24 plastic form yet! It's a darn popular and darn sexy car! Edited April 19, 2009 by FujimiLover

Zoom Zoom Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Same thought occurred to me. Where is the Elise/Exige??? Licensing issues, perhaps? Not likely, since there's already been a 1/24 Elise by Welly. Picked it up for 10 bucks at the Petit LeMans from a vendor. Not bad, would love plastic, but realistically not expecting it by now. I have a second that will be converted to an Exige.

I really wished I had one of those, but then it is a diecast..

Foxer Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 How about a couple of British classics. I'm a Healey guy, but I love the styling on these two. Oh yeah, include the racing versions, also I had a '67 TR4A and this is as close as it gets.. 1/32 unfortunately, but it is quite detailed for that scale. Some day it will get the Navy paint and red pinstripe ..
ericmaxman Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Hmm. What do you guys think about the latest Honda Accord Coupe? Since its basically the same body as the one sold here. Too bad my country doesn't have the coupe version..only sedan

Too bad my country doesn't have the coupe version..only sedan It's okay, clean lines but nothing exciting or inspiring. Better than the sedan (especially w/o the bulging taillights). Typical Accord I would think a Hyundai Genesis coupe would elicit a lot more positive response. It has far more character than the Accord coupe.

First time I hear someone that rather picks a Hyundai over a Honda. If truth were to be told, somme Hyundais do look quite good. Hmm. i10 ?

The Genesis coupe is getting a lot more attention than the Accord coupe ever got; they're gunning for the Infiniti G37 coupe. RWD platform, much more expressive styling. They're going after the enthusiast market, Accord coupes are going for the secretary market

Lou Kolar Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I'am such a 1/25 scale snob, if I had a Gennie's Lamp and was granted 3 wishes, my first one would be 1/24 never existed and every model, die cast, ect. is in 1/25 scale.
