mustang1989 Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 You're a wild man for tackling all of this detail Anton. WOW!! Keep 'er comin' man.
Mattilacken Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 Some of these are stunningly hard to get right! And the micro plattform there is so thin so I bend it with a gentle touch. And it’s so easy to bend them so you won’t recognize it! well a bit further on the funnel. 2
mustang1989 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Missed this when you posted it up Anton. Stunning detail and I can only imagine how delicate all of that is to handle. So frickin' GOOD man.
gotnitro? Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Amazing work so far on Tirpitz, I've always wanted to tackle this ship and Yamato. I'm currently working on CVN 76, and realizing how quickly shelf space disappears lol 1

Okay cool, yes they tend to be big and if you want somthing to protect against dust they get even bigger! 1
gotnitro? Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Whats that boxy structure in front of the funnel you drilled holes into for ? I see it in the photos, wondering what it was for

Mattilacken Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 (edited) Wanted a break from my car builds and jumped back on this! Got some plattforms replaced with PE and their supports done! And man are those fiddly!! Also installed bunch of hatches and doors. Edited January 31 by Mattilacken 1
Mattilacken Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Made a PE bit of progress here.. catapults are taking shape as well as other brass work.
Mattilacken Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Noticed that I had made the catapults inverted so I took them a part and they broke so it became a pita to glue it together again. But it’s done as well as more bras work.

The Eduard PE set is great quality i must say! Almost wish I bought them all.. but then again more to put on 5 hours ago, slusher said: Real nice work man! Thanks Carl!
Mattilacken Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 More details aded, got impressed in how spruce can be stretched. Will work fine for rigging. 1

BK9300 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Your patience (and skill) with such tiny PE is beyond me - I look at that little stair section crossing over from the platform on the stack, and wonder how you ever held on to it to place it, never mind glue it! Well done.

Well done. Thanks mate! It’s fidly and i am humble when looking at even more detailed builds! PE is a bitch to work with at times. But they are made very good so you fold them easily! And gluing those ladder things along the sides are a pain in my opinion. Well I have more or less finished the work of the funnel. Will leave guns and lights of until paint is on. 2
mustang1989 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 This thing gets richer in detail every time I look at it Anton. This is some really REALLY good work going into this buddy. WOW!! 1
