I have a GSX somewhere, I'll check it out although 1:24 may be too big.

It occurred to me that the MPC Raiders Coach would have it too. I checked a built-up model but the tranny has no detail whatsoever.

Revell 1971-1972 Oldsmobiles have the BOP TH-400 , 1/25 scale

And it's a separate piece!

IIRC, at least the '72 has the option of a 4-speed, so you can still build the kit after you steal the TH400.

The '71 442 kit has the exact same options, TH400 or 4 speed.

AMT '68 El Camino.... I think...?

IMO , not worth the effort. Not only is it lacking a separate pan, but it's also the Chevrolet Mark IV ( 396 / 427 / 454 ) bellhousing .

The MonteCarlo I mentioned above also does not have a separate pan and is a Chevy transmission. Chevy big and small blocks have the same bell housing bolt patterns which of course is different from the Buick/Olds/Pontiac version.

After looking at the available kit options I'm inclined to just buy one from Texas 3d Customs.  It's incredibly detailed and the price is very reasonable.

The 1/25 Revell Cadillac Lowrider kit contains a nice Chevy-pattern TH400 with a separate, chrome plated pan.

As mentioned above, for a 1/25 scale Buick-Olds-Pontiac pattern TH400, the Revell '72 Cutlass (and its newer variants) is the best choice IMHO.

Revell/Monogram's 1970 Buick GSX has a 455 mated to a TH400 in 1:24.

Just a heads up on the 1/24 '70 Buick GSX TH-400. While it does look like a TH-400 in almost all areas, the top of the bellhousing area does not have the correct shape for a Buick-Olds-Pontiac (B-O-P) transmission. You can't see the top of the bellhousing area once the drivetrain is installed, so probably not a deal breaker for most people.

Did you guys miss that the original poster wanted a TH400 with BOP pattern 😉, Chevy pattern is easy to find.

No….he said he could work with anything, and someone looking for any style TH-400 might come across this thread in the future.  All good info.😎
