Dragonhawk1066 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Here's my Revell 1969 GTO Judge, my first GTO build in a long time. Painted in Tamiya X-6 Orange with some Tamiya X-7 mixed in, thinned and airbrushed. Createx 4053 High Gloss Clear was wet-sanded, polished, and waxed. Bare Metal Foil was used for the trim. I used a Fireball Modelworks Rochester Quadrajet carb and 17 inch Rally II's from Jay's Resin Wheels and Tires on eBay. The interior is painted in Createx Opaque Black and I added embossing powder for the carpet. I used 1/8" aluminum tubing for the exhaust tips, drilled out the nostrils on the ram-air hood, and added ignition wires and heater hoses for extra detail. A lower parts count kit, as most of the old 1/24 scale muscle car kits from Monogram were, but still a very nice kit. Little to no flash and excellent parts fit made this a very enjoyable build. Thanks for looking! 18
TransAmMike Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Wow Craig, she's a beauty. The slightly oversized wheels look great! Outstanding paint!! 👍
DJMar Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Definitely an oldie but goodie! It looks fantastic, what a sweet build.
Matt Bacon Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Great build and photographs. It looks excellent and shows those old Monogram kits polish up nicely in the hands of a skilled modeller. The wheels look excellent and are a good idea… the original sized ones on mine look distinctly skinny under such a big car. Well done! best, M. Edited November 28, 2024 by Matt Bacon
KWT Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Very nicely done... Color is great and those wheels are perfect for this
Falcon Ranchero Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 That's 10x better than mine; awesome detail. I built this same kit, though I put on different wheels and a white interior
espo Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Beautiful looking paint finish and Judge stripes. Like the engine detailing and the stance.
Bainford Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Beautiful Goat. Very nice paint and foil work. The custom mixed colour looks fantastic. Love it!
karbuildr Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Excellent build, really well done. Beautiful paint and nicely detailed all around.
