You knocked that one right outta the park.     Beautiful work. 65 and 66 were my favorite Impala.

Thanks Doug. I also have an admiration for the '65 and '66 and fortunately there are good kits at reasonable prices for both years.

Home Run! Great build with all of the 1960's trim work. IMO, one of the best GM designs. Checking out the 396 fender emblems.

Thanks Robert. I foiled the 396 emblems this time around rather than use the kit's 409 decals.

Hi Tom, beautiful build!!! On first glance looks almost like the real thing, respect! The color and the shine match very well with this Impala. Come to BMF and decals, for quite a while now I do that work BEFORE the last clear coat. Above all, nothing can peel off any more by mistake while handling the model.

Thanks Andy. I've thought about foiling the trim under clear in addition to the badges/scripts since they would be locked in as you mentioned. Sometimes the foil just doesn't  stay burnished in place.

Didn't realize you had a YouTube channel. I'll have to check it out.

That's a looker right there Tom.  That Chrysler Dark Garnet Red Pearl looks Great and looks Fantastic for this year and body style.  Nicely done.

Thanks Bob. I've recalled a number of these cars at shows in similar colors and it just always looked right.

Wow, that's really nice. Like the color, may have to find something to put it on myself. From what I can see, the interior logs nicely detailed. Great build, very convincing.

Thanks John. I've become quite fond of the color myself and have used it on a number of models that still need to be completed.

Very nicely done! '65 Impala is a very beautiful car and you definitely did it a justice. Excellent work overall and a perfect color choice too.

Thanks Niko, I really like the tail lights on these.

Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The chrome body trim is all cleanly done. The interior looks great. I like the showroom style look. This was the last year for this OEM size narrow white wall tires on the Impala and the '66's had the thin pinstripe style white walls.

Thanks David and I didn't realize the '66 cars had narrower white walls. While I greatly admire Chip Foose's work I definitely prefer these cars factory like.

I love the mid 60’s Impalas. All round beautiful build. Great foil work. 👍🏻

Thanks Rastislav and Stuart. I agree the mid '60's Impalas were some of the best looking full size cars.
