blue303 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I'm going to call my car done. It has been for at least a week but I wanted to be able to take nice pictures before posting it. 6
Big Messer Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Very nice!. In fact so nice that I wouldn't enter in a race...
meechum68 Posted October 20 Posted October 20 But it would be such a soft comfy ride! And very unlikely to attract alot of police attention! Very nice!!

Don't forget, this was 1975, so there were a few more of these running around than there are now, and people weren't so "collector" oriented as now. I had a friend that ran a 67 Cuda at the track, street stock except for minor upgrades. There were lots out there similar.

Pat Minarick Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) Got everything primered and base colors on. Some small detailed parts and the interior are dull coated and ready for what ever color I decide on. Started some light weathering on the chassis. Body has a silver base coat, just can't decided what color. Edited October 24 by Pat Minarick 5
tim08 Posted Friday at 06:01 PM Posted Friday at 06:01 PM Getting close to finishing the Dart. Got the hood and trunk lid hinged, with magnets. Dog dishes made in tinkercad and painted with revell chrome. The fuel cell, lines, and jerry can were printed. Interior done. Tool box was printed, thanx Meatman. As was the cooler, extinguisher, window cranks ,and belt buckles. The cb was a 1/8 file scaled down. Hope to throw some paint on this weekend. 3
tim08 Posted Saturday at 07:21 PM Posted Saturday at 07:21 PM Got the 440 installed, Took one more mockup pic before paint. Gonna try to get the nose to sit down a little on final assembly. 3
Pat Minarick Posted Monday at 07:13 AM Posted Monday at 07:13 AM Got some of the interior ,engine, and rims started. 1
Pat Minarick Posted Tuesday at 08:49 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:49 AM Painted it Bronze. Going to give it a very light sanding , foil it and clear after it dries about a week. Has anyone painted taillight red over clear red plastic? These look a little weird in person. 4

For the taillights, rather than paint them red over red, I usually put some Bare Metal foil on the backside to give them more reflective look, then maybe do a black wash to make the raised parts more noticeable.

They have glue damaged on the back , tried BMF and it makes the damaged show. But thanks for the idea.
