Get ready for an exciting car with cylinder deactivation! Here's my 1981 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham V-8-6-4

Ever thought you would see one of these again in the 21st century? LOL. Like the original ad said, "Trust Cadillac to lead the way."

It's the Revell lowrider kit modified, detailed, added scratch built parts, and finished by adding wheels from a promo '79 Caddy which rolls. Countless hours spent researching the real car. Pics from bring a trailer of surviving real rides was of big help. As you can tell by now I love Malaise Era engine bay with acres of vacuum hoses.

I too built this kit, wanting to make it stock but didn’t have any extra parts, mainly tires so I ended up succumbing to the low rider version the car was meant to be. Seeing yours (which is really neat) I totally gotta redo my kit the right way and give another shot at making it stock. Thanks for that inspiration 👍I have a nostalgia factor for the 80s Cadillacs.

@Falcon RancheroPerhaps you can grab another similar kit and that way you'll have both the lowrider and the stock version when you're done with that. I have a second kit that I plan to turn into the '90 to '92 Caddy Brougham d'Elegance four door.

Well that’s ok, I did a horrible brush paint job on the car and its overall appearance is pretty goofy so I wouldn’t mind taking it apart and doing it right. But thanks anyway

Very nice. I love the clean, detailed finish of the interior. From the dash to the steering column to the storage pockets on the back seats. The engine bay is insane.

Your Cadillac looks great, I especially like what you did in the trunk. Great detail and finish, really well done there Racine.

Cheers,

David. 😎👍
