gtx6970 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Painted Testors Hemi Orange rattle can at least 10 years ago I think. Then rumbled around in a box for years , even making a move across country in 2018 I retired in 2023, And finding I have a lot more free time on my hands. So trying to work on the model stash along side house projects in the works Not a whole lot of detail. Real close to box stock I guess, kinda sorta. maybe The Hemi is from the 68 Roadrunner kit. Which is painted with duplcolor Hemi orange engine enamel 'Tires are parts pack items, wheels are from the AMT 71 Duster Rump stripe is an old Fred Cady decal which has turned out to be very fragile . It likes to chip away , even though it has a clear top coat on it after it was applied to the body . Im not super happy with it. BUT,,,,, Its done and in the case. On to the next one. happy grumpy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Great looking Mopar, I find this color appropriate for the subject. It still looks pretty good after all these years.
VanGoGo Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Looks great! reminds me of 'Go Mango' or 'Vitamin C' orange, perfect color for that car 😃
gtx6970 Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Thanks all. It's not up the caliber of some here. But I have so say. I like it
Falcon Ranchero Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Cool build; always love the aggressive front look on the '70; even the '69 for that matter
drodg Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Nice build. Sadly so many of the old decals are getting a bit brittle. I used a set of Fred Cady decals on a kit this past year and they also were brittle. Just getting too old. Again you did a nice job.
Brutalform Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Nice looking SuperBee Bill. Fantastic color choice for an old Mopar.
XYHARRY Posted January 22 Posted January 22 This is one kit that eludes me, I have been trying to get one for years. Yours really stands out in that beautiful orange. Well done Bill. Cheers, David. 😎👍
Keef Posted February 2 Posted February 2 That is gorgeous! My absolute most favorite Mopar ever! Great job! 👍🏻
gtx6970 Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 (edited) Thanks all. It's not perfect...nore my best But I really like how it came out.. So thank you for the kudos Edited February 2 by gtx6970
Bills72sj Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Way cool. The Best Man at my wedding owned one of these (in the same color combo) back when we worked at the same plant.
