Franklin Mint 1/24 W-196R Merc.

Plans are to use it as the basis for a heavily upgraded model (wheels/tires, panel fit, etc.), but that swoopy body is so pretty just as it is...

Man, those are cool shots. I have a question. I don't know that much about the Greenlight models. Is it actual 1/24? I know on JADA models, they are hit or miss. I've seen them at 1/24, some slightly smaller, some bigger. I have the DM Christine, but I'd like to add one of the Greenlight '57 Tulsa Plymouths if the scale is right. Thanks.

Not 100% sure; I know what you mean though; like I have a built Revell 1957 Bel Air and the AMT version, both being stated as 1:25, but the Revell is considerably larger. As for this Greenlight Diecast, I'm not sure; I'd say it's pretty normal sized, but I do have a built 1:25 scale AMT Christine model, so I could compare the two and if the diecast is larger I would imagine it's true 1:24 scale. I'll let you know once I find out.

Sweet, thank you.💯👍

Just put the two side by side, the AMT is way longer, and a little bit taller than the Diecast, and remember, the AMT is 1:25 so it should be smaller than the Greenlight but it’s not, so I don’t believe it’s a true 1:24 scale

Nathan, thank you. I certainly do appreciate you checking. I wish they wouldn't advertise models as 1:24 when they're not. Welly is bad for doing that also. I wanted one of their Buick GSX models and it is also smaller than 1/25.

Yeah, nowadays I seem to notice it and go "that's odd" because if, for example, you want to make a diorama with some cars, you gotta be carefull about the realistic size, if you wish to combine different brands (like AMT and Revell cars). For me, I'm not terribly put off by that fact that if it was not the true scale, I wouldn't buy it. If it's cool I totally would, no matter whether the scale size is true or not.

These two are probably my favorites. Sorry for the weird angle but the Daytona coupe is Exoto and Shelby Collectibles GT-40. I picked up some gumball decals to add numbers on the GT-40. I'm not sure why they weren't on there to begin with, but I picked it up second hand. Anyone have any idea why it may not have come with numbers, such as a unique version or something?
