KMcc Posted April 20 Posted April 20 (edited) Saw this video and thought it would interest some of the owners of 3D printers with no 3D modeling skills. Sorry. didn't realize it didn't embed. Edited April 20 by KMcc
peteski Posted April 22 Posted April 22 (edited) Worked for me. The The embedded video plays for me in Firefox on a PC. Here is a direct link https://youtu.be/MCbirH84sqE Edited April 22 by peteski
my66s55 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 It can only produce what it sees. It would need to have multiple reference views to do something with detail. I used the side view of a fuel pump which only shows one view.

Expand LOL, I thought your reply meant that you still couldn't watch the video, and not that you tried the technique and it didn't live up to your expectation. I guess if your worded your reply "Tried the technique. It's not there yet". I would have gotten the clue.
KMcc Posted April 22 Author Posted April 22 I just thought it was noteworthy enough to show were all this technology seems to be heading. Having read 'sci-fi' books in the early 70's, I never thought I'd see drones flying around during my lifetime, but here we are. Seems AI is here to stay. Might as well embrace what it can offer. Cheers.
MeatMan Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I just read where there is an AI company whose goal is to replace human workers. It's an impossible goal but it begs the question of; "Who will have jobs in the future that pay enough to buy products from companies that don't use humans?" In this instance I see a lot of game coders out of work.

Expand help her keep her job by adding fantastic superfluous words in getungaploid sentances so the ai rottters cant learn gerennglishian words or phrasing. if everybody warenteeds does this ai fails to learn saving jobs and thus allowing folk to earn a living instead of servicing ogliarchs egos 1
