Dragonhawk1066 Posted Wednesday at 09:55 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:55 PM Here's my version of the AMT 1964 Chevelle Malibu SS Craftsman Plus Series kit. The color is Delta Turquoise with a couple of drops each of Anita's Topaz and Delta Navy Metallic for the final shade. It was cleared with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss which was then wet-sanded, polished, and waxed. I used Bare Metal Foil for the window trim. The interior was helped with some embossing powder for the carpet, a MCV Products steering wheel, and a sewing pin for the shifter. An Iceman Collections Custom LSX engine and transmission provides the power and is an excellent product. A combination of 9 gauge wire, 1/8" aluminum tubing, and MCV Products mufflers was used for the exhaust. Putting the "power to the pavement" is an excellent set of Jay's Resin Wheels and Tires 20 and 21" Torq Thrust wheels and tires. Overall a pretty nice kit lends itself well to being customized. Check out my YouTube channel for updates showing some of the work that was done on this one. Thanks for looking! 16
Rattlecan Dan Posted Wednesday at 09:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:59 PM Gorgeous work! Wheels and color really bring it up to date. Nice clean build.
Dragline Posted Wednesday at 10:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:59 PM My Uncle Steve raced a gold 64 at Epping NH in the mid 60s. I have a love of all things Chevelle. The addition of the LsX is superb. Beautiful build.
Bills72sj Posted Thursday at 04:43 AM Posted Thursday at 04:43 AM That looks GORGEOUS! I would be proud to have that in my display case. I am not nit picking but you may wish to take a closer look at your headlights.
STU111 Posted Thursday at 10:39 AM Posted Thursday at 10:39 AM Stunning. Just a great build in every aspect. I like this a lot. Top notch. 👍🏻
Ragtop Man Posted Thursday at 01:20 PM Posted Thursday at 01:20 PM Things that make you say, "damn!" for $500! Super clean and gorgeous, surprised we are not seeing more of them that exploit the opening hood. The paint is outstanding and love the interior match, that feels exactly like 1964.
Carmak Posted Thursday at 03:29 PM Posted Thursday at 03:29 PM Really like the hint of pearl on the seats. Nice!
Musclecarbuilder Posted Thursday at 04:14 PM Posted Thursday at 04:14 PM Very nice! I love that color!
karbuildr Posted Thursday at 09:35 PM Posted Thursday at 09:35 PM Excellent build, very well detailed, the c color, wheels and tires, and that engine are really superb.

I have a hard time distinguishing the patterns on headlights most of the time and these were especially tricky!
TransAmMike Posted Thursday at 11:02 PM Posted Thursday at 11:02 PM Oh wow Craig, the Chevelle looks outstanding. That LSX engine looks great in there!! Two thumbs up to ya 👍👍

espo Posted Friday at 06:53 PM Posted Friday at 06:53 PM Beautiful paint finish and the color looks like something that may have been original when new. The interior looks great and very realistic looking finishes.
