I've been throwing some mud where the rear fenders meet the body then sanding and hitting it with primer to show what I missed.   I decided to do a mock-up.  Looks like the collectors are pretty close to draging the restate.  I like how the tires are up in the fender wells.  Looks like the stance is looking good.

I found a couple old paint filters so thought I'd see if I can cut and fit it in the grille.  It's nothing I came up with, I believe it was suggested and I saw a pic of a grille done this way.

😳 I am DEFINITELY liking this one!! Great work so far! What color are you thinking on this one?

You have some really cool mods going for this one Bob. It's always fun watching you knock these together like this.

Thanks Keef.  It's going to be a deep metallic blue.

I appreciate it David.  Yeah, nothing but one issue after another with this one.

I just pulled the Anglia body out of the spray booth.  I was a little worried that this color was going to pull away from the sharp edges but all went well.  I'll let this totally cure out then hit it with the 2K clear to put a shine on it.

how did you cut the glass (clear plastic) without shattering it?    i've never had much luck even separating the windshield from the side & rear windows in the amt kits of yore. thanks

Hey man.  I laid it on a flat surface and used a #11 blade.  I went really slow.

Great color Bob!

If that doesn't cover that pesky red plastic, nothing will!

:D

David G.

Thanks David.  Yeah, I think I got the red covered.

Thanks Greg.  Yup, I saw someone else put screen in the grille and thought it looked pretty good.

Looks very nice. Very rich classy color for a hot rod. Engine and body same color is interesting take.

Thanks Dan.  Yeah, I think this dark Metallic Blue is looking pretty good.  I'm liking it anyway.

Just got the 2K clear on yesterday before all the rain hit.  That 2K clear just lays down so nice.  I'm really liking how it turned out.  I'll let this cure out for a couple more days then get after the polishing.

Looks great! What clear are you using?

Thanks Buddy.  It's the Splash Paints Urethane 2K clear.

A great kit that needs a sharp eye and careful assembly. You are off to a great start getting rid of the roof rubbish.

Woah! Didn't see the second page before I commented. Love the paint!
