Didn't see the second page before I commented. Love the paint! Yeah, I prefer a nice slick top vs the rag top. The paint came out pretty nice. I'm happy with it. Thanks much dude. 1
Zippi Posted June 14 Author Posted June 14 (edited) I printed out some wheelie bars and they were a little to tall from where they hooked onto the rear axle to the ground so they had to be modified. I shoot them black but they will be chromed before they go on the car. Edited June 14 by Zippi 6
TransAmMike Posted June 14 Posted June 14 The bars look good there Buddy, and man I like the color and paint job!!
David G. Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Those look great Bob. It seems that having a 3D printer is the way to go these days. Maybe I'll look into getting one. David G.

I'll hit um with some chrome and paint the wheels & tires. Should look ok. 9 hours ago, slusher said: Beautiful shade of blue, Zippi! My favorite color is blue so you know I'm liking it Carl. Yup, if ya don't have the parts you need just print them out.
johnyrotten Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Looking fantastic, Zippi. I agree about the 3d printer. If l only had the space for one.

Zippi Posted June 16 Author Posted June 16 I started polishing the body this morning and I got the wire mess installed in the grille. I was going to paint it Matt black but at the last min I decided to leave it as is. I got to thinking the Matt black would have blended in with the dark blue paint. 4 1

Zippi Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 I did get all the glass cut and installed but assembly has come to a halt. I don't like the steering wheel and column or the gas pedal. I've mad and aluminum extension for the new steering wheel and I have a tach that I'll be added to the steering column. 5 1
Zippi Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 The Steering wheel and column with tach have been installed. I have it propped up to dry. Much better than the stock setup. 7
Speedpro Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Lookin great Bob! I'm enjoying the paint. Looks like everythings really coming together well. Did that steering wheel from this kit? Or maybe the '66 nova kit?

BK9300 Posted Wednesday at 02:05 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:05 AM This build is coming along really well, Bob. That paint sure looks 'deep' - very nice polishing job. The mesh in the grille looks pretty special, too.

Rattlecan Dan Posted Thursday at 03:54 AM Posted Thursday at 03:54 AM That mesh came out fabulous. Forgive me for saying "this might be one of your best builds yet!". What with your always great attention to detail and insistence on near perfection, this thing is going to be a masterpiece. Great work. Keep on keeping on.
