I wonder if the Wagon will be Kerbside or Full Detail?

My guess is it will be the Kerbside kit. Not, that there is anything wrong with that.

And it should have Awesome Decals!

How did it come originally? The '63 Nova has followed the exact pattern of the original kit. Craftsman, then full detail, and then the hauler set.

The original set had the Craftsman version of the wagon.  Only a handful of the racing team sets included two kits with engines.

I 'shopped this up long before the '63 wagon was reissued; still think it would be a good idea:

It is coming back out, that's the point of this thread. Got added to the Stevens International list of future releases (along with the other kits in a couple of the threads) posted yesterday.

He meant Photoshopped. That's a 66 Nova Wagon on his box art. Neat idea.

I'm curious why the '65 Chevelle wagon was never part of a Drag Team set?

Especially since "Drag Team Push Car" is one of the 3 build options.......

Would make a great "drag-team-combo", and for the drag car, the 65 Chevelle AWB.....  HEY, A NEW COMBO!!!!!!

The original Chevelle combo used the '63 Impala, during the time it was a Craftsman kit.  But the Chevelle wagon (or El Camino) would make sense.

Has the 3Dverse contemplated this one, yet? Seems like a natural. Your rendering has a great look!

Yes, indeed!

And since the wagon is a Push Car, you could just use the Chevelle AWB kit, and have the matching pair. You don't need a trailer.

Now I gotta make the Chevelle wagon too!

And they still don't have any ramps on the trailer for that poor Willys!

A simple diversion from the purpose of this post. Hickory Speedway, NC sometime in late '67 a team showed up with a '57 Chevy Late-Model Sportsman on a low-slung trailer and they had forgot to load their ramps. They decided it would be all right if they just drove it off.  They disconnected the trailer from their truck and used a floor jack to raise the tongue, was not a significant amount. Back tires off the trailer did not cause a lot of problems, but when the front tires dropped off the front part of the car hit the trailer and ruptured their radiator. Now they could not race and had a broken racer that was lodged on their trailer. To get it back on the trailer they got the track wrecker to lift the front of the car up while they backed the trailer under it, then lifted the rear section up so they could finish the job.

The cheapest way to get the trailer is the Modified Stocker Hauler set, which is still available.  You also get a '53 Ford pickup, and who doesn't like that kit?  The retail price isn't a whole lot more than the pickup alone.  Hobby Lobby stores carry it, you can snag one at 40% off every other week.

The trailer is based on the one that came with the SMP '60 Chevy pickup annual kit.  The Ford pickup had a different, single axle trailer (like that in the new '60 Ford pickup kit).  The Chevy's trailer was meant for full size, late model cars, while the Ford's trailer was smaller and meant for earlier/smaller cars like Deuces, Ts, and dragsters.

The Chevy's trailer was available separately in the early Sixties, by mail from AMT or Auto World.  It could also be built as a display base.
