Volzfan59 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I’ll be in for two Jeepster’s for sure. Probably an S-10 and a Mercury too. 1
magicmustang Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) Been waiting for the Scorpion Drag Coupe. Butchered Astro 1 body on a Piranha rear engine chassis. Must have. Here's what one member of the forum (Scott Colmer) did years ago. Edited Thursday at 08:50 PM by magicmustang 4
Stef Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Lots of great stuff this month, and the video is a day early, too! Really vibin' on Chad's evolution; he's much more prepared, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable than ever, and I am here for it. Great job, Round 2, my wallet is NEVER safe. 5
stavanzer Posted August 1 Posted August 1 7 Kits in this Update! Just when I get a bit discouraged by the updates where the show only 2 or 3 kits, then you get one like this. I am betting the September update will have even more interesting kits, as that is the last update of kits that can be almost guaranteed to be in time for Christmas. I think all of those kits will sell well, but I'm only after the Jeep. And, it was very helpful that Chad had the actual grill part for the S-10 Extreme. That was a great touch on Round2's part. 2
Chris in Berwyn Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) Lots of nice stuff!!! If you look closely at the side art for the Riv, it mentions a suggested Tamiya paint for the body of each of the 3 building options. Never seen them recommend Tamiya paints before. Edited August 1 by Chris in Berwyn 1 1
Radretireddad Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) Very cool, very cool! Looks like our benefactors at Round2 are indeed listening closely. I need a Jeepster and the S10 extreme, although not a super high priority for me, now needs to take its place alongside the rest of the versions in the series sitting on my shelf. The lace side panels on the Riv almost look like snakeskin. Is the custom ‘57 Vette based on the good Mueller era stock fuelie version? Edited August 1 by Radretireddad

Yes: The Street Machine is based on the same tooling but can’t be built stock. It does however come with a Big Block/Automatic transmission and some beautifully detailed Cragar “Street Star” Wheels. In my humble opinion the “Mueller Era” ‘57 Bel Air Street Machine would have been far more appealing with the wheel/tire combo from the Corvette Street Machine. 4
Dragline Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Compared to one kit last month WOW I'll be getting a couple.
Ken Hart Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) I'm in for the Jeepster, although I really wish there was some way they could backdate the body to have the earlier and much better-looking front end. Edited August 2 by Ken Hart 4

Totally. The squared-off frontend redesign looks too Bronco-like to me. I guess that's what they were going for (or IH Scout, possibly?) but I, personally, have never liked first gen Broncos at all.

Apparently the real customers did too. That redesign killed off sales for the Jeepster. I do wish Round2 would back date the tooling. Some of the parts are still in the kit, and the older style would sell better I think. Now that the wagon roof has been restored we are almost back to the original versions of the kit. 1
1972coronet Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Does the S10 Extreme come with weeping spider fuel injectors ? 2

martsky Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Now if we could only find a Duck Duck JEEP dash upgrade for the Jeepster?
Mr. Metallic Posted August 4 Posted August 4 When i saw they brought back the long roof for the Jeepster it piqued my interest, even though I have one with my older issue Jeepster already, and a MounT N Goat, but that boxart pushed me into I NEED IT territory. hopefully there's a cool decal sheet included too. And man, i never thought I would want another Xtreme pickup kit, but the revisions they've made and the sweet decal sheet might just make me get one if it hits HL. Anyone else think this is dying for an LS swap? 1
