junkyardjeff Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Rebuilding a 60s AMT 34 Ford pickup that has a chopped top and is just screaming for chrome rims but I do not have four that matches that are for metal axles. What kit would have a set that can be used.
Joe Handley Posted August 17 Posted August 17 What style are you looking for? Pegasus has a variety that might look right.
junkyardjeff Posted August 17 Author Posted August 17 Chrome reverse style and the more I think about it did the 70s version of this have chrome rims.
Mark Posted August 17 Posted August 17 The Round 2 issue '34 pickups all include five of the chrome wheels retooled for the Mod Rod (ex-Ala Kart) double kit. The '25 T double kit (ones with the chopped coupe body) include four chrome wheels also.
Can-Con Posted August 18 Posted August 18 If you can find this set, the bottom right wheels look almost the same as the ones in the '70s reissue of the kit. IIRC, they're included in the last reissue of the '36 Ford kit also. 1
Leica007 Posted August 18 Posted August 18 The 63 Ford Galaxie kit has a nice set. I found them in 2 versions of the kit.
junkyardjeff Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 I am going to see if I can find those AMT wheels, not really wanting to buy a kit if I do not have to.
rattle can man Posted Wednesday at 05:53 AM Posted Wednesday at 05:53 AM I might have a spare set if they were in the Lindberg releases of the 34. I can check tomorrow/ later today. If I do, they are yours if you want them.
Mark Posted Wednesday at 09:47 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:47 AM The Lindberg issues of the '34 have modern/trendy modular custom wheels.
