Falcon Ranchero Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Curious to know if anyone else owns a '69 Pontiac, be it a big Bonneville or a smaller Firebird. Even a Beaumont would count. Haven't seen too many other 1969 Pontiacs at shows other than GTO Judges and one other LeMans. 2
Carmak Posted Monday at 04:23 PM Posted Monday at 04:23 PM A very old pic of my 69 Bonneville 428 convertible. This is a stuffed figure sitting on the nose 1
JollySipper Posted Monday at 05:11 PM Posted Monday at 05:11 PM The Noid................. These cars all look great..... 1969 was a good year for a lot of manufacturers!

If it were up to me I'd want to get a big car, but since owning a classic is a family affair right now, we went the intermediate muscle route, though I'm not dissapointed. One day though I'll have a "land yacht".

Good eye!! That pic was taken 31 years ago. This is what she looked like a couple years ago being moved after 15+ years of storage. Notice the rear trunk emblem. 1 2

The rear fenders were rebuilt decades ago using the qtr panels and rear door skins from a rust free 4dr. It actually all metal and not that bad. The nickname was from before the rebuild. I have had this car for over 35 years and I daily drove it in the late 80's/early 90's. I took it on an 800-mile round trip to Hayward, WI with my future wife in 92. What an adventure. 1
Bills72sj Posted Tuesday at 03:54 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:54 AM (edited) The closest I came was when I had a 70 GP when I had a small fleet of GPs. Edited Tuesday at 04:48 AM by Bills72sj spelling 3
89AKurt Posted Tuesday at 04:16 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:16 AM I have the original engine for the '56 GMC pickup that I acquired recently, does that count? 😜 They put a GMC sticker on it, and were made in Pontiac MI.
Bucky Posted Tuesday at 04:30 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:30 AM If previous owners are allowed, back in the very early 80s I had a '69 Bonneville 4dr hardtop. DARK green, white interior and vinyl top. 428 under the hood. Boulevard cruiser!! Sadly, I have no pictures of that. I didn't keep it very long. It loved the taste of gasoline too much!! 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted Tuesday at 07:03 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:03 PM BREAKING NEWS... Just got the photos of our car before the previous owner restored it. It was wearing a crappy yellow paint job. Looks more like a LeMon then a LeMans. But what a transformation to compare. The blue it wears now was the original colour. 3

The only criticism that I have is that it needs a set of correct ‘69 “PMD” Rally II caps! Steve 1

Steve Those would totally be awesome; I know GTO’s came standard with them I think, and I noticed your Grand Prix has them and they look great. Definitely going to consider them, though this winter we’re hoping to get at least the rear bumper and tailight bezels re chromed, (not a huge fan of body colour bumpers) and the Pontiac badge on the trunk is missing so we have to find that for sure. Different centre caps would be on the list farther in the future. Edited Wednesday at 06:57 PM by Falcon Ranchero

Classic Industries will sell you a set of 4 for about $110.00. Steve 1
Old Buckaroo Posted Friday at 10:05 PM Posted Friday at 10:05 PM I have this '69 Firebird with the 400 in it, also has a powerglide with the babymaker front seat (bench), ive got stock bucket seats to trade that out as well as a Hurst floor shift. Sorry for the snow pic, it was easier to grab than go out and take one to upload. 2

Neat that it has a front bench; I would imagine most Firebirds came with bucket seats. Our ‘69 LeMans has a front bench, and automatic on the column. How long have you had this car?

Seeing that yellow took me back to mine that I had in 1975. I left it in my parents back yard when I went to the Army and my brother convinced my mom to get rid of it. It had been stolen and the engine was gone when I got it back, so I swapped it out for a 350 SBC engine. Had headers and everything. I wanted to kill that fool! 1
