GZM2023 Posted Sunday at 08:20 PM Posted Sunday at 08:20 PM (edited) Hey guys. go easy on me here, LOL. I am 55 and haven't modeled much since I was a kid. I am and always modeled the drag cars and I am seeing now all these years later that same interest/desire is still burning although i would call it now days more of a dim glow. Too many medical issues now to dedicate time and ability to this hobby but I won't go into all that. So, here is my attempt to bring some drag racing life back into an old relic. I know there have been some on here who do not like the quality of this AMT kit but for my taste and standard, I am ok with it. From a drag racing perspective the fact that the front end is separate from the body is a very desirable option. Obviously, I still have a long way to go on this one but I am very pleased where I am at this stage. I will post updates as I find time to work on it which is not very consistent for me. I am always open to constructive criticism and ideas. Thanks Yes, the complete chassis is a modified version of the STP Pro Stock Firebird. I am not sure I will use this engine, just threw it in there for the photo. I will probably be 3D resin printing something with a blower soon. Edited Sunday at 08:22 PM by GZM2023 6

Zen Posted Monday at 02:45 PM Posted Monday at 02:45 PM So far so good! Curious on the wheelbase of the PS, does it match up good with the Nova body? 1

I did nave to narrow the PS floor pan almost up to the roll bats on each side but it now fits perfect. So far, everything else looks almost like the SP chassis was made specifically for this Nova kit.
Straightliner59 Posted Monday at 10:22 PM Posted Monday at 10:22 PM Looks good! I'd probably go with that engine, and do a Super Gas car. It has the right look. 1
Zippi Posted Tuesday at 12:15 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:15 PM That looks like a nice little project the Zack. Looking good so far. 1
