bluestringer Posted September 11 Posted September 11 This is the Foose kit, but I built it without the Foose badging. I removed Foose from the tailgate and did not use any Foose decals. Also used a different color scheme, purple and black. For some reason the purple looks blue in the photos. I added plug wires to the engine, but that's about all as far as extra details. I dechromed the bumpers and I first painted them black, but the paint didn't come out good so I stripped the black and repainted them the same purple as the body. The paint is Tamiya acrylic purple, and Kyron black. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.ย 8
STU111 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Cool looking 56. Very tidy! What method did you use to remove the Foose lettering from the tailgate? I have this kit in the stash and I donโt really want to build it as the Foose truck. Again, top job. ย ๐๐ป

I used my xacto knife with a thin chisel blade to get most of it, then sanded the rest down.ย
BKF Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Good looking truck! I've got a couple of these kits. I plan on doing one as the Foose truck and the other I'll be removing the tailgate lettering as you did.
stavanzer Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Sharp Build! The Purple suits it well. ย Good Show.
