Claude Thibodeau Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Hi! At a recent show, a good friend won Revell's Foose 65 Impala as a door prize. He gave it to me because he only builds large scale race cars. "Do something with it" he ordered. So... Happens the wheelbase matches exactly the Testor's full detail Chezoom chassis. I reworked the front & rear suspensions to get the stance I wanted, scratchbuilt an interior, roll bar, rear speakers, firewall, hood hinge, radiator panel, steering shaft, etc. and used AMT's Jag XK-220 seats, and locally sourced 3D printed rolling stock. Cut the front bumber to keep only outside sections, shaved the trim, and molded the rear with a scratchbuilt roll-pan & flush-fit full-width stoplight. AK's off-white lacquer with Tamya's pearl clear + Mr. Hobby Premium Top Coat clear. Custom mixed lacquer green for the interior and chassis. Revell's spray chrome + Molotow's accents. Hours of fun with styrene! CT 13

Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Fantastic. I love the taillight treatment, and the frame/exhaust set up is a work of art in itself. Another hit.
Cool Hand Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Some great ideas in this build Claude, certainly nailed the modern pro touring style. Well done.
BK9300 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Another stunner, Claude - beautiful overall, and especially like your work on the frame.
espo Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Beautiful custom body mods and paint. The rear roll pan and taillight changes especially. The chassis is a great swap idea and fits perfectly. Like the stance and the rolling stock.
DJMar Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Wow, that's slick! Very nicely done, and the tail treatment with the bar light and exhaust tips is super cool.

Dragonhawk1066 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Absolutely awesome! May I ask what you used for the exhaust, all of the bends are so clean looking. I really want to get better at bending my exhaust pipes.

ea0863 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Gorgeous as always Claude. This one looks as good leaving as it does coming!
Rattlecan Dan Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Yeah, but other than that what did you do? Lol. Beautiful work. That's a sweet build.
