70 Sting Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Finished and photographed this offering from Aoshima. The kit goes together well... except for the rear engine cover. I read that other builders experienced the same issue so I knew ahead of time what to look for. I tried to keep everything squared and tight while assembling, I even tried cutting off the top engine support to see if it would fit more closely, however, the body gap still remained. It's too bad, because both the front and rear covers are pressure fit making them easy to remove to see the goodies underneath. In the end, I forced it in place while applying CA glue. Not the best job as it was quite stubborn and didn't want to hold. There are supposed to be red accents around the engine cover vents. but the decals looked too flne to fit over the raised surfaces and I didn't feel like doing all the masking involved with painting them. Body colour is AK Xtreme Metal Titanium, the interior is semigloss black with red seat sections and a homemade grey to mimic carbon fibre. The wheels are gunmetal grey. Have a great weekend! 8

Roger U Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Looks good. You got the body panels to fit together very well. That's a nice paint job and I like the colors you used. 1
Matt Bacon Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago That looks fantastic, in a mean-looking Sci-Fi way. Beautiful detail painting on the inside and the overall finish is to die for… Brilliant photography as well. I love it. best, M. 1
JCH Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Nice finish on the paint. Bummer about the engine cover. The color suits the car and is an excellent finish. I like it! 1

I took liberties with my colour choices, but here's a short video explaining this beast:
