This one was inspired by a picture. I have another picture of this car somewhere but can't find it.

The chassis started as an AMT '65 Chevelle funny car. Revell '32 front suspension, while the rear is out-of-box. Lots of fab work on the cage and chassis tubing. The body is a "defect" resin I found on ebay. The color is a mix of a couple Tamiya shades and the decals are from a few different Slixx sheets covered with a 2K clear straight out of the can.  Bumpers and lights are Fusion Firm while the door handles and emblems are Molotow (I forgot to do the rear script and nose emblem before these shots, but I'm not taking new pictures!). I tried to mask the interior cover before I cleared and accidentally pulled off part of the Doug's Headers decal on the passenger side, so the u and the g got hand painted and then I just cleared everything. A lot of pictures here but I'm pretty excited with how it turned out!

Doh...I forgot gauge decals too. And the starter and oil filter. And the tie rod! I guess it's back in the shop, but you get the idea.

Having watched the development of the funny-cars/match-racers, I think you did a great job of capturing the simplicity of the earliest versions.  They were primarily "Monster-Motor"/lightest-weight combination that they could come up with, (good example being the first "flopper" body Mercury Cyclone).   Great job!!!!

Wow what a masterful job . For some reason unknown to me I have developed a desire to build some mid 60’s top cut off drag cars to add to my ever growing collection I have about 6 in the gathering parts stage or 1/2 started stage . This build has got me a little more inspired it was great fun to follow along.
