This time matthijsgrit found I car I didn't know until now. Thanks matthijsgrit for this idea.

Maybe you know what car it is.

1. No answers allow in the ongoing Auto quiz thread
2. No comments  in the ongoing Auto quiz thread that give any clues or suggestion to the car in question
3. A PM must be sent to the one who has started the ongoing thread 
4. The PM must contain Year of production, Manufacturer and Type
5. In case of violating the rules  the quiz will closed immediately and no winners will be announced

we had to cut the edit window down. scammers were using it to edit in trash after moderation

Good to know what it is, it is a lovely thing. Chevy engine too!

I got a bit sidetracked by similarity, except for some details, to the Ferrari 308 GTB:

Only reason I recognized the thing is because I used to avidly follow every independent one-off built, imagining that one day I'd join the ranks of low-volume series-produced car manufacturers.

One-day-at-a-time procrastination and some stupid life choices put an end to that, and it's getting a little late at this point.

Still, I always thought this was a very attractive car and I'm glad it survived.

Three prototypes were built, two like the car above, and a third with 'updated' styling including a little Merc C-111 influence, below.

Thanks for this info & photo, Bill. To me the third car is bland and uninspiring compared to the original in the same way the MK4 VW Golf is an insipid pastiche of the MK1.

The wheels are especially terrible - 5 stud wheels should have 5 spokes!
