Ahh yes. Nothing quite like a fleet campaign because a SUP notice was received, or replacing a hundred fasteners because one bad bag of screws actually made it from Stores and into the hangar.

I used to work at an helicopter repair facility, not as a mechanic but at the parts dept. Remember all too well the complaints from the mechanics about the "legit parts" not quite fitting. Left about 15 years ago, went full time into home construction. All the same BS all over again...

EDIT: I had a pace-car clone for a short time, and the only thing I didn't like about it was the automatic gearbox...and the big sign on the side.

Mine might not have been this nice and was more of an unmodified standard model until I went thru the suspension and a good tuneup. But being the second owner of a small V-8 with automatic, ps & pb with factory air and dead reliable for many years.

Great looking car. And being "lower trim",  find them more interesting. There's a sea of rs-ss and big block camaro's at every show. Your car would be something different.

Its funny how people get hung up on what a particular marque should be, when their impressions are based on decades-old marketing campaigns. 

Ford worked on one or two four door Mustang proposals in the 1960s, along with a Kammback wagon.  IIRC GM toyed with a wagon concept for the 1970s or '80s Firebird as well.  

The manufacturers are free to take their nameplate in whatever direction they wish.

Both trucks below have the same bed size.

Trick question: which one is more rational for getting a bag of dog food or donuts (and don't even consider that we live in a time when we're constantly bombarded with "how dare you!!!" regarding carbon emissions and petrochemicals)?

Excellent names for EV cars that either exist or should exist, and would tick people off:

• Charger
• Ford should make a high performance version of the Mach-E and call it the Shelb-E. And not the sticker and stripe car Shelby American made a couple of years ago.
• Stellantis should make a high performance package for the Charger, and call it the Hem-E. Yeah, I said it. 
• Futura
• Electra
• Fusion
• Volt - I'd argue that a performance version could be called the Kilo-Volt or Mega-Volt.
• Lightning
• Comet

How 'bout AMP, or JOULE  or an upmarket SHOCKER EDITION  and a high-output RAPID DISCHARGE?
