Cheap efficent paint clip stand

I saw something like this on a YouTube clip the other day and it got me thinking.

I rummaged through the local supermarket cardboard box pile looking for a suitable corrugated cardboard box with suitable sized coronations (With there permission of coarse)
I cut strips using the width of a steel ruler to get all of the strips the same with an hobby knife cut them all the same length to fit into an old shoe box that a model kit came packaged in that I had brought online.
Once I had enough of them I glued them all together with PVA glue.
I cut the shoe box down to the desired height and then glued the stack of cardboard into the box and folded the top of the box down to form a frame.
The lid still fits the box to protect the coronations when not in use

I think I have got a pretty good useful clip holder for next to nothing the only thing that cost me anything was the PVA glue and I brought that over 20 years ago

You can also find similar corrugated in pet stores as cat scratching posts.

I’ve made a bunch of them the same way, but only about 4”x5”. That way they fit in the dehydrator easily. Scratching posts might have catnip in them so if you have cats it may not be a good idea.

Neat idea. Better then the block of oasis (green foam block used by flower arrangers) that I currently use, which makes its own crumbly dust.

I use old butter tubs turned upside down. I'll take some pix later.

I tape the lids on, hot melt something inside so it won't tip over or have the wind take off with it.

I poke holes in the bottom and use toothpicks to hold the parts.

Some good ideas here. I use these foam blocks that are used in packaging. They last a long time and you can use any size diameter part holder. They measure 3 3/4 x 3 3/4. Sounds small, but they hold alot of parts

My dehydrator is a good size, I did think of that and checked before I got too far to check that it would fit

I had a butter tub with a wire handle on it. The handle allowed me to place it in the dehydrator very easily. I'll  have to make up another one.

I use a foam block for flower arranging I bought at Hobby Lobby.  I've had it for several years now.

The ones I get come with a little packet of catnip to sprinkle on the scratcher. My cat gets the catnip and I get a parts holder. It's a win-win!
