What flavor of red?

Trying to determine what brand and/or color of red this Glidden car might be. The hood (at least) needs painted ........

Looks close to Tamiya LP-21 Italian red.

Plan on doing some spoon test spray outs before painting the hood.

I'll go along with that. Painted a bunch of Terry Labonte's early cars with that color

Is there any overspray or paint in a discreet area you could try to dissolve with paint thinner and rubbing alcohol and see which one works? That would point you in a direction.

LP-21 is in the little bottles. I imagine they make in an aerosol also….TS-?

I’m not trying to be smart, but it’s virtually impossible to tell from a picture, as the color will display slightly differently on most digital screens depending on type and settings.

I agree Chris, I don't have the car in my hands yet either. Just thought I would reach out to see what others may have painted their Glidden cars with or just a good guess.

If you're looking for a Tamiya spray, I think the number for Italian Red is TS-8. I seem to remember it being slightly transparent so if a primer was used, the color of that may effect how the paint comes out. You might do a spoon test using white and gray primers.
