I'll tell you one thing- I think the old Thriller LP is gonna be spinning on my turntable tonight at the workbench. Love him or hate him- thriller was the Shizzle. (I don't know what that means, either, but i like saying it. I cannot help being a

lame-o white dude.)

This album dropped the same year I did ('82- same as Knight Rider, Airplane 2: The Sequel, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, The Dark Crystal, the "reissued" Mustang GT 5.0, and the new Camaro/Firebird/TA- an all new Scout would have debuted that year, as well, had it not been for International Harvester's financial woes in the late '70's), so I do take some offense to it being called "classic"!!!!

No great loss to me, he was a total freak ! Its just funny how celebrities die in groups.

If you look in the obituaries, they all seem to die in alphabetical order too. Hmmmmm!!!

Undeniably one of the most famous people on the planet. The 50 shows in Britain were sellouts in 4 hours. I'm thinking that systems limitations could have held that back and it could have been faster. I wouldn't say that I was a fan, but as many radio stations did daylong tributes, I realized just how prolific this guy was and how familiar the music is. He was a master of his genre.

Perhaps impossible to understand, but a master.

I'm more interested with what's going on in Iran right now, but I really haven't seen anything about it since Thursday. The way all these 'news' organizations jumped on the M.J. bandwagon (and reported on every excrutiatingly small detail) you'd think the sun burned out. I just wonder if the coroner wore one glove and a face mask while doing the autopsy.

That self-named King Of Pop was nothing but a sicko perv. To call Jacko an eccentric would be soft peddling what he really was...a pedophile! Farrah a nobody? Please! That poster of hers sold better than any other poster, even Daisy Duke. Those of us males of a certain age had her poster on our bedroom walls.

I had the Farrah poster! Also had one of Linda Ronstadt in a Haltertop and unbuttoned shorts.

Dom Delouise, David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson... and now BILLY MAYS!!!!! :o All within the span of DAYS!!!!

Don't know about you guys... but I'm sure glad I am NOT a famous celebrity right about now!

Is Being Dead the "in" celebrity thing these days, or something? All I can say is my Celebrity Death Pool has been torn asunder of late!!!!

Gotta throw in Comedian Fred Travalena who just passed away a couple days ago. ;)

I don't ever remember so many famous people passing away so close together before............... :o

Bill, Fred Travalena? wasn't he the comedian that looked kinda like Jay Leno? I do remember him, although I hadn't heard about him in quite some time! Yeesh, waz goin on? could the Aztecas been right about the end of the world comin in 2012? Isnt it supposed to happen in August of 2012? Oh,well, Never been to an end of the world before,it may prove to be interesting, just like when it turned 2000 an the planes an stuff were supposed to fall out of the sky's, an all the worlds computers would shut down! :o Sounds like another normal day in Paradise! ;)

Fred Travalena now, too??!!! :)

Geez, is God conducting some sort of celebrity close-out???

BTW... I had the radio on today as I was working, so I may have misheard this... but I swear I heard that it's now been proven that 2 of the 3 kids MJ thought were his were actually fathered by his mysterious "doctor" friend and given birth by MJ's onetime, ahem, "wife," Debbie Rowe. Who may now sue for custody of the kids. This thing is getting messier by the day...

Ya know I saw those kids on tv the other day, and those children are WHITE! There's NO Black blood in the kids I saw. If he had fathered those children, they could NOT escape that genetic fact! Micheal was a black man, until he PURPOSELY altered his features. I have nothing against interacial marriges, in fact my wife is German/Irish,with blonde hair and blue eyes, and I myself have dark skin color, black hair and brown eyes. Joy is a combination of our 2 genetic backrounds, an if you saw her pic, she looks light a light skinned mexican. If those babies were TRUELY of his sperm, they would have SOME trace of HIS genetic backround also, but THOSE children ARE WHITE! Look at the rest of his family who DIDN'T alter their apperance, and tell me there is a family resemblance. Not nice to say, but MONEY can buy ANYTHING, and this is just more proof of that. I hope those kids do get to be with his family, as it's probly as close to a normal life as they'll ever get. I feel for them now, NOT Micheal. Regardless of his fame, he was still a freak and a pedophile!

I think the saddest part of this whole circus is the fact that there are 3 little kids involved who will probably grow up into severely troubled adults. Just look at their upbringing so far... no mom (none that they knew of, at least), "dad" is Michael Jackson, whose lifestyle can probably be generously described as "eccentric" at best and criminal at worst. The kids were most likely raised by nannies, never have had a "nornal" childhood, have never gone off and played with other kids, never rode their bikes to the park, never played a game of sandlot baseball, never went to school with other kids... their whole existence up to this point has been entirely artificial and unnatural. Geez, whenever they were out in public MJ made them wear masks, fercrissakes! What are the odds that they could possibly grow up to be normal, well-adjusted adults? Slim to none, I'd say. :)

Posted

Harry, sadly I have to agree with you. On the show I saw them on, Joe Jackson was saying how they were enjoying being able to play with their cousins an other children of their age, and were happy being children, which is as it should be. But then I think, well the Jacksons sure ain't your TYPICAL American family anyways. Maybe they should go back to their mother, even if she didn't have anything to do with their rearing, as she REALLY is the only BLOOD family those poor kids have.

Posted
Actually Liz Taylor "dubbed" MJ the "King of Pop" :)

What were all you guys doing with that Farrah poster anyway???(now thats weird)

Looking, dreaming, etc. Actually I liked my Linda Ronstadt one better, I dig brunettes.

Posted

Well, if I heard what I think I heard, then 2 of the 3 kids have no biological ties to the Jackson family at all, and the Jacksons have no claim to them.

This is going to get messy as more facts come out...

Posted

What a tangled web we weave, when we practice to decieve. And the innocent children suffer for it. Sad.

Posted
He wanted them wearing masks so their identity would not be violated and they could live a normal life...

If they need to wear masks at all times, keeping their identity secret so they can lead a "normal" life... well, isn't that mighty ABNORMAL???!!!

As I recall, I didn't have to keep my identity a secret when I went out to play with my friends as a kid.

Those kids are doomed to a very weird life... :o

Unfortunately sad, but true.

Well, now that he is gone, maybe at least they wont have to hide their faces in public, other than hiding them in shame.

Ha! You got that right Harry!

I was very hard to miss as a kid as I was the fat kid of the block. One step out on the sidewalk and folks knew it was me! :o

I hate to bring this topic back from the dead (pun intended), but I swear I remember a few years ago MJ was buying up a bunch of cryogenic stuff and claimed he was going to be frozen when he died. Anybody else remember that? Maybe I'm finally ready for the loony bin. :(
